Once you've selected your date of travel and chosen your destination, you'll receive additional detailed information regarding your cruise. Listed below are the facts to get you started:

 

Chaperones and Complimentary Guests

Graduates at Sea requires that each senior class group must have at least one chaperone for every 10 students traveling. Chaperones will travel at no cost (free!). As per the cruise lines' normal requirements, chaperones must be at least 25 ears of age. Graduates at Sea does not require chaperones be berthed with students. Festival and Performance groups must have one chaperone per 20 students traveling.

 

Security Deposit

Graduates at Sea requires a $50 per person security deposit. Security deposits will be returned within four weeks after your sailing date provided the guidelines for conduct have been met as outlined in your organizer manual and subsequent paperwork.

 

Travel Documents

United States and Canadian guests need proof of citizenship and a photo I.D. (Passport, Birth Certificate or Certified copy of Birth Certificate with raised seal). Resident Aliens need a Resident Alien Card. Aliens also need a valid passport and valid U.S. Multiple RE-Entry Visa.

 

Spending Money and Gratuities

Your trip is all-inclusive! Meals, cabin, taxes, port charges and most gratuities are included in the price of your trip! You will need spending money for baggage handling, souvenirs, shore excursions, and any beverages onboard ship not included with meals. Iced tea, water, milk, coffee, and hot tea are included with meals. Juices are offered at breakfast. Soft drinks may be purchased onboard at an additional cost.

 

Your prepaid gratuities cover the Dining Room waiter, Assistant Waiter, and Cabin Steward. The Maitre'D is not included. Tips are not included for curbside stevedores, with a $1.00 per person gratuity being customary. Tips are not included for room service, $1.00 per person is suggested.

 

Medical Services and Emergency Telephone Number

The Ship's infirmaries are equipped to treat non-emergency matters and doctors are available throughout the sailing to render services at a customary charge. Emergency telephones are available and vary by cruise line. Detailed information is provided inside your ticket booklet.

 

Paper Work and Forms

Every student and chaperone must complete a Student Chaperone Acknowledgment Form to be turned in with the final Cabin List. In addition, Chaperones are required to fill out a Chaperone Acknowledgement of Responsibility Form and an Alcoholic Beverage and Gaming Affidavit.
